Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 7, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Conference Clash ("we", "us") collects, uses, and shares information when you use our website and services (the "Service"). This page is maintained by the operator of Conference Clash. By using the Service you agree to this Policy.
1. Information we collect
Information you provide:
- Email address (for account creation, login, and password reset)
- Password (stored only as a salted cryptographic hash — never in plaintext)
- Display name and, if you sign in with Google, your Google profile name, avatar URL, and Google account ID
- Content you create in the Service: league names, draft picks, and chat messages you send inside a league
Information collected automatically:
- IP address, browser type, operating system, device type, and referring URL (standard server and security logs)
- Session and authentication cookies / local-storage tokens needed to keep you signed in
- Product analytics events (pages viewed, buttons clicked, features used) via PostHog
Information we do not collect: payment card information, precise geolocation, contacts, or files from your device.
2. How we use information
- To create and secure your account and authenticate you
- To operate core gameplay features (leagues, drafts, scoring, league chat)
- To communicate with you about your account (password resets, service notices)
- To measure product usage, diagnose bugs, and improve the Service
- To detect, prevent, and address fraud, abuse, and security incidents
- To comply with legal obligations
3. How information is shared
We do not sell your personal information. Information is shared only with the following service providers ("subprocessors") to operate the Service:
- Infrastructure providers — application hosting, database, authentication, and server functions
- College Football Data (CFBD) — public game scores and rankings; no personal data is sent
- PostHog — product analytics events
Content you post inside a league (league name, draft picks, chat messages) is visible to other members of that league. Do not share sensitive personal information in league chat.
We may disclose information if required by law, to enforce our Terms, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Conference Clash, our users, or others.
4. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember preferences, and measure usage. You can clear these at any time via your browser settings; doing so will sign you out.
5. Data retention
We retain your account information for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we will delete or anonymize your personal information within 30 days, except where retention is required for legal, security, or fraud-prevention purposes. Aggregated, non-identifying analytics may be retained indefinitely.
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate information
- Request deletion of your account and associated personal information
- Export a copy of your information
- Opt out of product analytics
To exercise these rights, email support@conferenceclash.com.
7. Children
Conference Clash is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has provided information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Security
We use industry-standard safeguards, including HTTPS in transit, hashed passwords, and row-level database security. No system is perfectly secure; you use the Service at your own risk.
9. International users
The Service is operated from and hosted in the United States. By using the Service you consent to the transfer and processing of your information in the United States.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. Material changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Effective date". Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
